The KMC Laboratory Services function 24 hours a day with emphasis on accuracy, precision reproducibility and prompt reporting. It is a large hospital based laboratory which caters to a wide population of walk-ins patients from in & around Mangalore and inpatients of the Hospital. The KMC Laboratory performs close to 1 lac tests per month. The KMC Laboratory Services has been accredited by National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories. It is the first large Laboratory in Coastal Karnataka & Northern Kerala to be accredited by NABL. KMC Laboratory Services also performs special tests for diagnosis of autoimmune disorders like ACP, ANA, ds DNA, ANCA, AMA, ASMA & ANA Profile and Procalcitomin as sepsis marker.

Bact Alert: (Biomerieux): The laboratory has semi automated blood culture system Bact Alert. The advantage of this system is that it can isolate rare & fastidious organisms within 48 hrs of incubation.

Automated elisa processor and reader can process 4 different ELISA simultaneously.
PCR for Tuberculosis: It is a conventional PCR method to detect IS6110 for identification of Mycobacterium tuberculosis DNA
Turbidometer: (Tulip Quantiamate) This is used to perform ASO, RA and CRP tests.
